STOP & THINK（三思而后行）
Congratulations! You have just received a job offer by telephone or letter! What happened now? The first piece of advice is - stop and think! Accepting a job offer is a major decision which can affect your life and others close to you in a number of important ways. Some tips:（祝贺你！你已收到了录用电话或录用通知书！现在做什么呢？我们的首要建议——三思而后行！接受一份录用通知是一个非常重大的决定，它可能会从多个重要方面影响你的一生和你周围亲近的人。下列是一些有关提示：）
1. Don't say YES to a job offer instantly; take your time and go over all your choices.（不要马上接受一份录用通知；花点时间考虑一下你所有可能的选择。）
2. Think about your choices wisely and assess the job offer and how it matches your career goals.（理性地考虑你的选择，评估眼前的工作机会：它是否与你的职业目标相一致。）
3. If you receive an offer but you are still waiting to hear from other employers, then be open and honest with the person who has offered you the job.（如果你收到了一份录用通知，但同时在等待其他公司的回音，请以开放和诚实的心态与提供给你工作机会的人沟通。）
4. Explain your position and ask for more time ( a week or even more ) to decide.（说明你现在的处境，请求给予更多的时间（一个星期或更长）来考虑决定。）
5. Don't wait until the last minute to ask for extra time; this might appear to be procrastination and will suggest lack of planning skills on your part.（不要等到最后一分钟才提出这一要求；这可能看起来像是在拖延时间，而且还表明你做事缺乏计划性。）
6. Be positive about the offer, be polite, and be sensitive about what you say, because if you finally accept you could end up working for that person!（积极面对工作机会，保持礼貌，注意你说的每一句话，因为如果你最后接受了这份工作，那个人可能就是你的上司。）
7. Call the other employers to tell them that you have an offer in writing. Ask them to confirm when they intend to make a decision.（打电话给其他公司，告诉他们你已经收到了一份录用通知，询问他们打算何时做出决定。）
8. Stop the interviewing process once you have made up your mind. It is unethical and unprofessional to accept another offer if you have said yes to another party.（一旦你决定了就不要再参加其他任何面试。在确认了某家公司的录用通知之后再接受其他的工作机会不仅是不道德的，也是违反职业伦理的。）
