Received her name in Ming Dynasty, "Shijia Hutong" remains being used since then. You know Shi Kefa, an honorable military leader struggled against Qing Army, once lived here, didn't you? Shi Kefa is a well-known politician and militarist in late Ming. In 1645, meeting enemies undaunted and hell-bent, he dedicated himself to defend Yang Zhou, Jiang Su, from Qing invaders until he sacrificed himself on the battlefield without a flash of surrender. Sharing the illumination of sunlight, his integrity, one temper of heroic hearts to Yue Fei and Wen Tianxiang, has been moving and motivating uncountable brave and loyal Chinese descendants.
史家胡同自明朝被定名,一直沿用至今。胡同名字的由来,是因为明朝著名的抗清将领史可法曾经居住于此。史可法是明代著名的政治家、军事家。1645年,因在江苏扬州抵抗清军入侵,誓死不降,最终战死在疆场。他浩然正气,日月昭昭,与岳飞、文天祥一样,感召了后世无数忠勇报国的中国人。
