It was in February ,2015, I planned to run every day. With no reason, I just would like to run suddenly. As everyone knows, I have always been slim, and there was no need for me to lose weight by running.
It was in the morning of March 1st 2015 that I gave my first running, I accomplished 2.99 km in 21 minute.
I thought I would keep running every day, but unfortunately, I sprained my ankle when I played badminton on March 3rd 2015. The ankle hurt badly, and I felt very frustrated because my running plan had to stop.
However, two days later, I insisted to run though the ankle was still in pain. what’s worse, the newly running shoe were rubbing so that every step meant a twinge of pain. The ankle hurt, and the feet hurt, too, I still ran every morning. Until now, I still didn’t know where the courage was from. Gradually, I ran further and further, 3km, 4 km, 5 km to 10 km, 15 km…… but I had never thought I could run much further.
Life is just like a box of cholates, you never know what you’re going to get.
One day, I ran for a long distance, but I got lost. I couldn’t find my way home, a suburb, there were nearly few people on the road, I became anxious. Fortunately, I saw an old lady picking wild vegetable in the field, so I ran to her and asked for direction, Once she learned that I was practicing long distance running, her face lighted up. She invited me to join their running club, and we talked to each other very happily. when she shared her marathon experience, I was so shocked because the lady looked like more than 60 years old, and one of her leg was lame. From then, I realized that even ordinary people can finish a marathon, as long as 42.195km long, a length far beyond my imagination.
From that day on, a seed began to sprout in my heart-- I hope I can run a marathon someday. So I just run, run and run. Without fast speed, but with a long time cover, I gave it a try, I took part in a half marathon in Qinhuangdao in May 2015, I finished it successfully. Then I completed my first full marathon in Beijing marathon in September 2015. Yes, I did it again! I can run 42.195km, a long distance that I had never thought I can.
From running, I do know that if you believe you can, you can, so just do it.
