Jasper White is one of those rare people who believes in ancient myths. He has just bought a new house in the city, but ever since he moved in, he has had trouble with cars and their owners. When he returns home at night, he always finds that someone has parked a car outside his gate. Because of this, he has not been able to get his own car into his garage even once. Jasper has put up "No Parking" sings outside his gate, but these have not have had any effect. Now he has put an ugly stone head over the gate. It is one of the ugliest faces I have ever seen. I asked him what is was and he told me that it was Medusa, the Gorgon. Jasper hopes that she will turn cars and their owners to stone. But none of them has been turned to stone yet!

- Medusa，美杜莎曾经是雅典娜的神庙的普通女祭司。根据当时的习俗，女祭司一生要保持贞洁，但是美杜莎偏偏长了一张美丽的脸。也许美丽有时候就是上帝的惩罚，悲剧开始上演。海神波塞冬垂涎她的美色，就把她强暴了。她曾经跑到雅典娜的神庙祈求庇护，但是还是在神庙内被夺去了贞洁。事后雅典娜对她不是贞洁之身很是愤怒，就下了一个诅咒。凡是看到她脸的男人都会石化。最后孤独的美杜莎逃到了冥界的尽头。美杜莎各种版本的结局大致是一样的，她被珀尔修斯杀死。其实美杜莎就是凡人的一个悲剧。
