In the beginning,obscurity is good
I get a lot of e-mails from young people who ask,"How do I get discovered?"
There is a kind of fallout that happens when you leave college.the class is a wonderful place:Your professor gets paid to pay attention to your ideas,and your classmates are paying to pay attention to your idea.Never again in your life will you have such a captive audience.Soon after ,you learn that most of the world doesn't necessarily care about what you think.It sounds harsh,but it's true.As the writer Steven Pressfield says,"I's not that people are mean or cruel,they're just busy."
This is actually a good thing,because you want attention only after you're doing really good work.There's no pressure when you're unknown.You can do what you want.Experiment.Do the thing s just for the fun of it.When you are unknown,there's nothing canto distract you from getting better.
You will never get freedom back again once people star paying you attention.
Enjoy your obscurity while it lasts.
The not-so-secret formula
If there was a secret formula for becoming known,I will give it for you.But there's only one not-so-secret formula that I known:Do good work and share it with people.
It's a two-step process.Step one,"do good work,"is a incredibly hard.There are no shortcuts.Make stuff every day.Known you're going ti suck for a while.Fail.Get better.Step two,"share it to the people."was really hard up until about ten years ago or so.Now,It's very simple:"put you stuff on the internet."
Step 1:Wonder at something.Step 2:Invite others to wonder with you.You should wonder at things nobody else is wondering about.
When you open up your process and invite people in,you learn. I've learned so much who submit poems to my Newspaper Blackout site.It benefits me as much as it does them.
The internet can be more than just a resting place to publish your finish ideas--it' can also be an incubator for ideas that aren't fully formed.
Learn to code,Figure out how to make a website.Find people in the internet who loves the same things as you and connect with them.Share things with them.
You don't have to share everything.Show just a little bit of what you're working on.Share a sketch or a doodle or a snippet.share a handy tip you're discovered while working.Mention a good book you're reading.Or a link to an interesting article.
If you/re worried about giving your secrets away,you can share your dots without connecting them.
享受自己不受关注的时光。在自己不受关注时可以尽情的做自己想做的事，做自己觉得有趣的事。去发展自己。等自己出了名，这一切就没有那么轻松了。
想得到关注，有一个大家都知道的办法，1，做好自己的事情：2，把自己做的事情分享给别人。第一件事，真的挺难，只有每天不断的去做，失败，再去做的更好。第二件现在变得很容易，因为我们有了互联网。
把自己思考的事情分享到网上，这同样需要两步，1，去思考一些事情；2，邀请大家一起去思考这件事情。不要去想一些大家都去想的事情，比如别人在想苹果，那么你就去想想橘子。你分享的越彻底，别人就越会对你的内容感到亲切。艺术家不是魔术师，揭秘不会受到惩罚。
分享的事情不需要是经过深思熟虑的完整想法，可以通过网络去孵化自己的想法，对于没有开始的工作，可以通过网络去酝酿自己的工作流程。
网络可以起到监督自己的作用，大多数博客都是把最新发布的排到最上面，这样有利于我们时刻留意自己，不放松警惕。同时，看着空荡荡的博客，自己会有填满它的冲动。
学习一些编程知识，学习如何建立网站，创建博客、推特。在网络上找到那些和你志同道合的人，把自己的成果分享给他们。
如果担心自己分享的内容被别人窃取，可以只分享一些片段。而不把这些片段连起来。
