*set somebody off*

Well, that really set Chirag off.

【释义】to make somebody start laughing, crying, or talking about something

【例句】Don't mention what happened- you'll only set her off again.

Diary

Grandma went back home 15 days ago to live alone. Although we have persuaded her sincerely to live with us, she still insisted on her decision to go home. Since she left, we will call her sometimes to ensure her condition. It has been 4 days that she did not answer our phones. We all pretty worried about her and decided to see her ourselves. So my sister drove me in electromobile to grandmothers' home last night at 18:30.

After arriving her house, we assumed that she has slept due to the darkness. In order to make sure her safety, we called her many times but got no response. Then we looked around and asked her neighborhood where she has gone. They told us that she went her older house to sleep at night. Eventually we saw her safely and healthily. Besides, she has made a promise to check her phones regularly or call us down the road. 

How wonderful she was in good condition.
