Namaste!
There is a Chinese saying that says many hermits live in the wild but a true hermit lives in the town. Xin Yu Yuan She Yoga Shala is a very quiet place in a very crowded and noisy world. There are no unnecessary decorations, just a cup of tea, a book, a meditation room and a yoga mat. Practicing Ashtanga, Breathing and Meditation is our daily life.
Everything is Kong
We often think of "who we are?" Are we a wife, a son, a parent, an employee or a boss? There are too many roles in our lives. These roles are only there to create our own sense of unity. To satisfy our own vain egos. When a person lives in this fast pacing world of ours, our own ego automatically creates a defense mechanism that covers us in a fake armor so that we can deal with everything this life throws at us. We get lost in our own fake illusions. That is why most of us are always seeking the truth. Xin Yu Yuan She is a Chinese word or an idea that means the heart is the spirit of all beings. The heart has intuitive knowledge about the unbelievable and everything else. It sounds crazy but deep inside our hearts we will find the wisdom of life. Our thoughts, ideas and opinions are not the same as our heart. Our thoughts, ideas and opinions come and go. Just like everything it this world. It means nothing. Our hearts mean EVERYTHING!
Practice leads us to find the hermit peace
A famous person once said you can either travel or read. One uses our body and one uses our soul which means at least one of the two is always on the road. The first time I went to Xin Yuan Yu She yoga center I went with a dream of fixing my body and my character, but teacher Kong led me on a path that fixed my heart. America sinologist Bill Porter's book, “Road to Heaven” recorded him going all the way to the Zhongnan Mountain to find hermits. I think most of us don't have the courage to live in seclusion. My time at Xin Yuan Yu She yoga center made me experience in a small way the life of a hermit. Self-discipline, peace and joy... Each asana practice, each round of breathing and every minute of meditation is a kind of enjoyment. This feeling is just like when we are traveling. The most beautiful part is the scenery along the way.
Ashtangis
No matter if you want to cultivate your character or spiritual well-being. The Ashtanga seed that was planted in my last life has grow up in Xin Yuan Yu She. I appreciate all the teachers that taught us the right way to practice. I appreciate my classmates who gave me a strong energy field. I will never forget my experiences during my time at Xin Yuan Yu She Yoga Shala. Even when I am old the fond memories I made will bring me back to these days where we sweat together, chanted Sanskrit chants, had meditations and the drawing of my face on paper. May what we say, what we do and what we think forever be guided by selfless love! Namaste!
Wish
I remember teacher Fang said some people have an energy field that prevents you from helping them to think. Kong never ask us do anything for Xin Yuan Yun She, he taught us the teachings of Confucius and Mencius, ways of keeping good health, Buddhist Meditation, Ashtanga, mastery of Chinese and Indian culture. I really hope I can inherit the knowledge and spread the knowledge to someone who need it. Help them accept and master Chinese and Indian culture. The most important thing, during these 13 days of study, is that I found the way to fix my heart and that the rest will follow. Chinese traditional culture is too difficult to translate, maybe it is not correct but I gave it my best!
