How to slay in your twenties!
What are you looking for in your 20s?
Adventure, excitement, success, or a sense of fulfilment?
I can’t wait to have a proper job because I want the independence that comes with it. Being in control of what you buy, what you eat, what you do, where you go.
1. can’t wait to have是can’t wait to do sth的用法,有时候也可以使用can’t wait untill sb does sth,如《冰雪奇缘2》中这个:
2. come with ...
You are not young, but with age comes wisdom.
It's a stressful, confusing chapter of life between the joyous and beer-infused years of college and actual adulthood.
2. A chapter of life:人生篇章。
A heat- and beer-infused celebration
这里我们可以学到一个不错的表达:the joyous and beer-infused years of college指快乐的大学时光。
This is particularly true in our 20s, when so many of our habits are still up for grabs. The patterns you establish right now will impact your health, productivity, financial security and happiness for decades.
Unlike the young, whose fragmented attention is fought over by thousands of apps, retirees are up for grabs.

Learning something new
It is time for you to learn something which will stay with you forever. Challenge yourself with new skills as it will help you in boosting your self-esteem required for later stages.
1. stay with you forever:表示“陪伴终身”,和前面见到的stay with us for life其实是一个意思。
2. self-esteem:自尊(心);自信;
One is that there are fewer new workers to boost output.
I wanted to build the skills necessary for the next phase of my career.
My advice is, "never give up the pursuit of learning." While you are in the prime of life, why not devote yourselves to a special field of study? Youth will soon be gone never to return. And it will be too late for you to go into scholarship when in your declining years. Knowledge will do you a good turn even as a means of subsistence. If you give up studies while holding a job, you will in a couple of years have had yourselves replaced by younger people. It will then be too late to remedy the situation by picking up studies again.
1. declining years表示“老年;暮年;残年”;
2. do sb a good turn
Surely no one fires someone who has just done their nephew a good turn?

Find your passion
Everyone starts working right away, and then, they feel stuck. It is for your own good to not lose sight of what’s important to you. If you feel stuck in a rut, then try to change your life, to change your job.
I think when you feel stuck or dissatisfied in your life, it's a signal.
Switching jobs allows you to gain a wide variety of skills, which makes you more attractive to future employers. It helps you expand your professional network, which can help you land your next job.
Switch jobs也可以说change jobs,move between jobs,move on;
The son of an acquaintance of mine has recently landed a good job on a national newspaper.
03
Find activities that make you feel fulfilled beyond work
Work should not be your only source of fulfillment. Find activities that make you forget about everything that troubles you. We might move on, quit or get fired from jobs, but hobbies stay with us for life.
only source of ...
As Asian elephant herds dwindle, African elephants have become the only source ofivory.
But beyond that, there seem to have been few immediate economic consequences for New York City.
If you move on, you finish or stop one activity and start doing something different.
'It is time for you to move on when you feel your career objectives are not being met or fulfilled by your employer, ' says Ms. Sheth.
4. quit表示“辞职”;get fired from jobs表示“被炒鱿鱼;被解雇”。
04
Strengthen Friendships
Believe it or not, but real friendships do last. You just need to invest in those when the times are hard, which means the 20s! Take out time to socialise as you will not be able to find close friends in the later ages of your life.
1. Those指的friendships。
Stop spending your money on material items. None of these things will last, while experiences are eternal. Your mind is a treasure chest of stories and memories. Spend your money on things that will enrich your life, not items that provide you with a fleeting sense of satisfaction.
a treasure chest of:百宝箱。“信息百宝箱”就可以说a treasure chest of information。
a fleeting sense of satisfaction:短暂的满足感,a fleeting sense of意思就是“短暂的……

Find Yourself
The longest journey you have ever taken is the journey to find yourself. It does not necessarily mean knowing what you want, but it is good enough if you know what you DO NOT. It is time to say No to whatever doesn’t feel right to you. Finding yourself means loving yourself.
1. 同义表达:Take the journey表示踏上旅程,也可以说go/embark on the journey。
But GDP per person is a similarly imperfect measure: a bigger pie does not necessarily mean bigger slices for everyone.
