I ‘d like to ask you a question at first. What time do you usually get up in the morning?

Dear members and distinguished guests, tonight, I’d like to share with you my experience about getting up early.

Let’s start from when I was a little girl. In primary school, I lived near to my school. So my mom usually waked me up before 7 o’clock. I ate breakfast and walked to my school. Then I went to primary high school and high school, my primary high school and high school are both boarding schools, so I lived in school since 12 years old. Every morning, the ring and my roommates would wake me up before 6 o’clock, then we did morning exercises and recite text. (A: What’s this in English? B: It’s a key. A: Spell it please B:

Finally, I went to college, Shandong University and could take charge of my own time. I tried hard to keep the habit of getting up early in high school. But things changed according to time. When I was in first year of college I used to get up at 6:30 and read some English or recite words of college English Test Band 4 (eg: Abandon abandon 抛弃). Then in the second year I got up at 7:00 and recited words of college English Test Band 6. In the third year college I got up at 7:30 and it was very tense. I just run to the classroom room with breakfast for my classes. You see, getting up early is getting more and more difficult for me.

Does things changed when I become a postgraduate. So what about now? When do I get up? Things often happened like this. I and my roommate Ashely, we two live in our dormitory.
Before I went to bed at night , I set the alarm clock , 7:00, 7:20 ,7:40, 8:00 “That is enough !”.
I said to my roommate:“ I want to eat breakfast tomorrow morning! And I want to save a seat in the library! I will get up at 7:00”
She replied: “Yeah, as you wish!”
In the next morning, when the bell ring rung, I turned it off one by one and went on sleeping.
When I woke up, It was already 9:00
My roommate was playing her phone on bed.
I said:“Oh No, I overslept this morning. I missed my breakfast. Honey, when did you get up? ”
She said:“7:00. When your first bell rung, I woke up”
“Elena, please don’t set any alarm clock, you can’t wake up!”
I replied “Maybe!”
I feel very lucky that my roommate still loves me.

I enjoy the time living with my roommate but the thing is different in home now.
I have a cute little sister and she is 15 years old now. As she is a primary high school student she has to get up early every morning before 6 o’clock to catch the school bus.
Even though in holidays, she still got up early than me in the morning.
When she got up, she went to wash her face and brush her teeth. Then she came back to our bedroom and she had nothing to do in the morning. She found some jobs for her to do. And the job was to wake me up.
She would talked to me:” get up, get up, it’s already 7 o’clock.”
And I was still in my dream so I said “please, please give me ten minutes, I want to sleep a little while”
Then she went out and played with other things
After 10 minutes, she came back again and said to me ”Ten minutes is gone, it is the time you should get up ”
I still don’t want to open my eyes
“Really?” I said. ”I am still so tired, please give me another 5 minutes. You are such a good girl”
Those kind of things happened two or three times every morning.
Sometimes she would take funny pictures of me when I was sleeping and made fun of it. Sometimes, she helped me to open my eyes, using her hands. “You see, you already wake up as you open your eyes”
Finally, my sister lost her patience and played her best card: lift my quilt suddenly. It was so cold out of my quilt so I waked up immediately and get up of my lovely bed.

I know that most famous people get up early every morning, like Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and ect. I admire them so much. Getting up early is fight for me. I have to fight with it everyday, sometimes the bed wins, sometimes I win. It is not enough that you have the wish to get up early every morning. And you have to get to bed early before 11 o’clock and don’t play with your phone. Sleep well and you can get up early. Develop a good life habit.
