A survey shows that the four Nordic countries headed by Denmark account for the top 4 in the “happiest countries and regions in the world” due to the fact that the people of these countries live a rich life.China ranks 125, while Hong Kong ranks 81.
According to the rankings, the top five happiest places were Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands. They are not only geographically close but also highly prosperous. Gallup said that the people of these countries need to be more satisfied and therefore happy. According to the United States Central Intelligence Agency’s economic figures on 227 countries, Denmark’s per capita GDP in 2009 was US$ 36,000, which is superior to other 196 countries.
From my perspective, the reason they can be the happiest country is the higher per capita gross national product which is vital for the development of a country.
