You're going bot fighting, aren't you?
注意这里going bot fighting, 其实就是go doing sth的用法, 比如go fishing, go shopping. 那比如去买鞋子就说go shoe shopping. 同理, 去打架就是go fighting. 去参加机器人打架就是go bot fighting.
碰到疑难的用法结构, 要把它回归到基本结构去. 套回自己熟悉的例子, 这样化繁为简, 越学越通了.
你会发现you're和you were难以区分. 首先注意you were不能缩略为you're, 所以你总是能听到一丁点那个w的音. 至于are弱读后为[ər], 所以从元音层面是没办法区分的, 只能是抓那个w的音. 另外就是逻辑和语法来判断是are还是were了.
