大家难以选择去哪个电影院，Sheldon过于坚持非要吃刨冰，大家只好舍弃他而去。Sheldon只好自己买零食回家吃，在门口遇到Penny在躲大楼管理员，因为欠了房租。Sheldon听闻Penny的困境，慷慨解囊，让她从自己的小金库拿钱救急。Penny犹豫再三还是拿了，但拿了之后十分后悔，Sheldon随便问候一句就感到十分紧张，觉得Sheldon认为自己乱花钱买帽子，吃外卖。
Leonard得知Penny困窘之后前来安慰，帮她想法节省支出，得知她陷入困境很大原因是帮前男友Kurt交了罚款1800美金。Leonard想起当初去要电视机被脱裤子的难堪，却仍然鼓足勇气去找了Kurt，但也没有什么好结果——这回Kurt在他额头上写了“我欠Penny1800”。
戴着帽子遮丑的Leonard开门，遇到Penny来还钱给Sheldon，Penny高兴地说Kurt竟然良心发现来还钱给她，而且Penny觉得他已经改过自新，显然有意重修旧好，Leonard真是心头一堵……
