This bar chart takes into account the petroleumproduction and consumption across 7 countries or regions: Europe, theUS, Middle East, Asia, Latin America,Australia and Africa.
In the production sector, Middle East was the biggest
petroleum supplier, which can produce\provide 15,000,000 barrels per day. This is closely followed bythe production
in Europe (nearly 15 million barrels per day).America also
had abundant petroleum resource (10 million barrels),while the
remaining countries produced less than….…
However, the petroleum consumptionshowed a different pattern. European countries consumed the highest amountof petroleum, even more than the total amount of Asia, Africa, Australia andLatin America. Also, the US consumed a large quantity of fossil energy. Anotherarea where substantial petroleum had been used was Asia.
It is notable thatsome countries, such asMiddle East, Africa and Latin America had produced more petroleum than they hadconsumed. On the other hand, the consumption of the rest of region overtooktheir production. Interestingly, in the Middle East, the number of productionwas about 7 times greater than that of consumption while the production equalconsumption in Africa.
According to the graphic area, we can discern thatthe production and usage of petroleum was quite unevenly spread inthese regions in 2002. Europe and the US are the two areas where both theproduction and consumption reached a higher level.
