商纣王烽火戏诸侯，荒淫无度，引众诸侯大动干戈起兵讨伐。
而周武王战后一席话，引人深思。且看:
众诸侯呐一声喊，齐追至午门。只见午门紧闭，众诸侯方回。The governors shouted and trailed the meridian gate. Seeing it was closed , they returned.
子牙鸣金收兵，升帐坐下。众诸侯来见子牙。
Zi ya beated gong and withdrawed troops, and then he sat down , beginning to discuss military business in the tent. The governors came to meet him.
子牙查点大小将官，损了二十六员。
Ziya made ahead count,discovering that 26 men were died , soldiers and generals in all .
又见南伯侯鄂顺被纣王所害，姜文焕等着实伤悼。Jiang wenhuan grieved over the death of Duke E shun , who was killed by King Zhou of Shang in the war.
武王对众诸侯曰：“今日这场恶战，大失君臣名分，姜君侯又伤主上（代指纣王，“旧主”）一鞭，使孤心下甚是不忍。”
King Wu said to the governors: “after afierce battle today, we are no longer the monarch(King zhou of Shang) and his subjects, and Icould notbear to see Duke Jiang whip the Lord .”
姜文焕曰：“大王言之差矣！纣王残虐，人神共怒，便杀之于市曹，犹不足以尽其辜，大王又何必为彼惜哉！”
Jiang wenhuan said,“You are wrong, Your Majesty. King Zhou of Shang is cruel, and he is hated greatly by both man and God. Even death would not expiate all his crimes, Your Majesty should not pity him!"
大丈夫行大义之举，不必有妇人之仁。
就像优秀的人，都是舍得对自己下狠手，才能战胜懈怠，木秀于林。
对懒惰的仁慈，就是对自己成长的残忍。你今天逼着自己向前进了吗?
