CREATE, CONNECT, CONTRIBUTE
Create, connect, contribute. Those three words can help you create surprise, connect people, contribute value. 【开篇点出中心思想：create, connect, contribute.并进行简单阐述】
If you follow it through in Toastmasters, you will bring out the best in you.
Today is the first special day for CVTE Toastmasters club, and I have gifts for you. They are my personal opinions on why you should come to Toastmasters. I am gonna tell you 3 stories and they are true stories. 【话题与听众密切相关——为什么他们要参加Toastsmasters会议；我将会讲3个故事，分别阐述create, connect, contribute】
【第一个故事：关于create surprise】
The first story is create, create surprise, create luck, create possibilites.
Four days ago, I got an invitation from Ryan, our TOM.
Hey, Shawn. Could you come to a company Toastmasters club this Saturday? It is a new club and need some support. Get a role.
Sorry, Ryan, I wish I could. But I have to take an intership this Saturday, it is kind of a final job interview. 【我（Shawn）和Ryan对话，角色扮演，肢体语言】
After rejection, I asked him which company it is. As you know, the answer is CVTE.
After hearing the word, CVTE, I was totally shocked. Because the intership I was going to take is exactly CVTE.
What shocked me the most is, Ryan told me the founder of this club is campus recruitment leader of CVTE. Wow, my potential boss and fellows will be on that meeting? OMG.
When I was wondering, what created this coincidence, all of sudden, a HR from CVTE called me and told me that the intership would be put off to next week, and that means I would be available on this Saturday.
Incredible! It looks like it is my destiny that I have to join CVTE, join the company and join the company club. So, here I am.
But that’s not the most incredible part. Do you know why I joined Toastmasters last year? It was because CVTE hurt my heart last year. 【三个incredible巧合的事件，逐步把气氛推向高潮】
Last year, I wanted to find an intership and took CVTE job interview for overseas sales, and I failed. It was terrible. In the interview, I had to draw a card and sell the product wirtten on that card without preparation. It was like someone gives you a pen and asks you….sell me this pen! 【肢体语言，与听众互动】
I have to tell you, that situation totally freaked me out at that moment.
From then on, I made up my mind to join Toastmasters, because Toastmasters is a place where you can improve communication skills.
After a year and a half, somehow, I try again and come back to CVTE, it’s like what Steve Jobs said, when you look backward , the dots in the past will somehow connect. 【引用】

【第二个故事：关于connect people】
The second story is connect, connect people.
One of my friends in Toastmasters, his name is Harrison. Since 6 years old, he has suffered from a torturing skin desease, eczema, very itchy and painful, sometimes he couldn’t sleep at night. He has tried lots of western medicine, chinese medicine and health products, but nothing worked.
After 10 years of suffering, 4 years ago, he decided to save his own life, he deeply searched through the Internet and tested solutions on his own body and it finally worked.
After that, he wanted to help people all around the world, so he created a website and posted what he found. The website has served 500 thousand people up to now.
What’s more, this year, he wrote a manual book for sale, helping more people. But how can he connect more people and promote his book?
Here is the point, he is a proactive and advanced member in Toastmasters, so he has connected lots of friends from different background in Toastmasters, many friends are willing to share his book promotion on personal social networks, like facebook, wechat moment, friends and family. That’s how his book can connect so many people.
By the way, he is only 20 years old.
That’s the second story, Toastmasters can connect more people. 【简单小结第二个故事，强化印象，为第三个故事做过渡】
【第三个故事：关于contribute】
The third story is contribute, the more you contribute, the more you can get. As we know, Toastmasters is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. So, the mission of Toastmasters is give, but get no money.
That may lead to a problem, lots of people just take what they want and then they leave. They may think: if I don’t get any money and only get a little of what I want, why do I bother to contribute?
As a result, of course, they never have the chance to bring out the best in them.
Because in Toastmasters, we learn by doing, we get by giving, we grow by contributing. 【简单句，排比。强而有力，听众易于接受】
The third story is contribute, it is happening here today. Ryan, Kate, Gordon ….(name) and new members, we are here to contribute our ideas, our energy, our value. 【提到听众的名字，与观众互动】
And then, what we want, will follow us.
Toastmasters is not about getting and having, but is about giving and being. 【引用】
