It is widely acknowledged that modern technology has changed our lives a lot: we can be connected to the whole world through Internet without stepping out of our houses, click the mouse and the goods we purchased online will be delivered to our home in no time and in some industries, robots can do a lot of dangerous works for us. Man and technology together have truly created “a brave new world”.
There is no doubt that most of the technologies invented by man benefit us a lot. In fact, nowadays, we can't live without them. We need to drive a car or take the subway to go to work. We need to turn on the air conditioner if it is too hot or too cold inside. We can even contact our friends who are thousands of miles away by phone whenever we want. Technology has made our life much more convenient and easier.
However, with the fast development of technology, many questions arise. This year, AlphaGo won all three games against Ke Jie, who is ranked number one in the world. Despite admiration, many people utter an apprehension that one day, computers may be cleverer than humans and we humans might be controlled by the computers. Will that day come? Humans are brilliant enough to create their strongest friend: computer, and will they live in peace in the future?
When developing new technology, we must take into consideration the safety and humanitity of we humans. Technology can and has to shoulder the responsibility of making the world a better place. With that goal in mind, we can handle any difficulties in the future way.
