It's been long since I watched such sweet American drama like Dash and Lily. Even already read a lot about the stories, I still find it really warm-hearted and beautiful. The romance in this drama isn't pure fantasy, it is more of a mixture of the fairy tale and reality. The main characters are not just a cool boy and a pretty girl. Instead, their charms lie within their interesting thoughts and courage to step out of their comfort zone.
The challenges they set for each other are perfect matches for them to try something they couldn't imagine doing on their own. And through the dares, they helped each other to become better person. What kind of romance could be better than that?
I've been to New York City several times. It's a city that can be either cold or warm depending on the people you are with and the situation you are in. It's so small that you can meet so many friends in a day. It's so big that you can not travel in a single day.
Good and bad memories in NYC are running through my head now and I know I miss it just a little bit after watching this nice holiday drama.
After lighting up my small pink plastic Christmas tree at home, I asked myself why I would do so. Or put it another way, why do we Chinese celebrate Christmas, a foreign festival that has no origin in China? I guess it's the celebrating and joyful atmosphere this holiday brings to people that make us want to celebrate it no matter it belongs to us or not.
Probably, all I want for Christmas is present and my love around the world.
